Privacy Notice for Visitors

This notice describes what Roseau County Busted Mugshots may collect, how it may be used, and when it may be shared. By using the site, visitors accept the practices described here.

Information Provided Directly

Search Entries

When a name, place, or other search term is entered into a site search tool, that query is sent to the third-party provider operating the tool. Roseau County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those query terms on its own systems.

Messages Sent to Us

If a visitor sends a message or email, we may retain the message and its contact details to respond. We do not share that message outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Technical Data and Cookies

Like many websites, we and service providers may receive routine technical details when a page loads. This can include:

  • Internet protocol address
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type and operating system
  • Pages viewed and time spent on them
  • Referring site, when one is supplied
  • Time and date information

Cookies

Cookies and similar tools help measure site use and support basic functions. A browser can block or clear cookies, although some features may then work differently.

How Information Is Used

We use available information to operate and improve the site, send a query to the appropriate partner tool, understand which pages are useful, diagnose technical problems, and display advertising that may reflect general interests.

Outside Sites and Advertising

This site links to sheriff, jail, court, corrections, and third-party search resources. Once a visitor follows an outside link, that destination's privacy policy and practices apply. The Minnesota Data Practices Act, including Minnesota Statutes section 13.03, governs certain government data access, not this private site's handling of its visitor information.

Advertising partners may use their own systems to track activity across sites for interest-based advertising. Those systems are controlled by the partners, not by Roseau County Busted Mugshots.

Parties That May Receive Data

We do not sell personal information. Depending on the activity involved, information may be processed or disclosed to the following parties:

  • Search partners that process a submitted query
  • Analytics providers that help measure site performance
  • Advertising networks that serve or measure ads
  • Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure

Security Practices

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards for information in our control. No internet-connected system can promise complete security, however, and no method of transmission or storage is guaranteed to be breach-proof.

Visitors Under 18

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor has provided information, they may ask us to delete it.

Your Information Choices

Subject to applicable law, a visitor may ask about personal information held by us.

  • Request a copy of information we hold
  • Ask for correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion where appropriate
  • Opt out of certain processing where an option is available

We may revise this Privacy Notice as site practices change. A revised version becomes effective when posted on this page.
